Can Corp. creditors go after the owner (s) of an S-?
My brother and I began computer consulting company in 1998 to one. The IT consulting business has slowed down a lot, and we lost our last contract a few months ago. We have 15k Agency debt accumulated on credit cards companies and a collection harassed my family. The company was incorporated (S-Corporation) since 1999 and the credit card is linked to the business and not our personal Credit. The company is completely belly up no money left in the checking account. No money. No assets. Can creditors sue me personally? Will the creditors speak of my S-Corporation, which has no money? Should I file bankruptcy for the S-Corp (Incorporated in Wisconsin) do not worry about how much it would cost? Thank you very much for any help or advice.
I met the same problem bought a s-salon I harvest my exwife. My accountant says it so .. if someone sues your company They are protected by the corporate veil, they can come after you personally but cannot no suppliers or creditors can be sued personally. thus me, I understand it like .. if someone was to sue you because you're wrong tilt consult you come in person, if his creditor or vendor so they can even if you didn't no PG. I think you should talk to a lawyer, because you give in to listen to say, here .. Hope it helps a bit ..
