miami bankruptcy court
I received a summons on 3 August. in Miami, Florida.?

I'm from Miami, Florida, and I know that the laws in each state. I am currently not in the country live in Canada and in relation to this problem is an old credit card Capitol one of about 2200.00. Who knows what could happen if I was at this I swear and do not get a verdict. what would happen? Can my bank account frozen or wages garnished in Canada? My friend I was with livng for over a year is a Canadian resident and citizen, there is a chance that they put a girl on their assets in Canada? If I judge, I can still file for bankruptcy if I returned to the U.S.?

You need to worry about it. You can not let it slide. Best thing to do to the District Attorney's Office in Broward County, Florida call. Ask for the public defender. Tell him or her your situation and that you wish to make payments and offer a monthly amount, maybe $ 50. If you do nothing, you are found guilty by default and you must, at the $ 2200 plus pay a fine plus court costs. If you settle out of court you have no further problems if you miss a payment. These situations are are often resolved through negotiations. Try it. Good Luck! Hope this helps.
