medical debt bankruptcy

If you submitted a ruling against medical debt, you can still file bankruptcy?
Mother has to pay mounting medical bills that are impossible. Several "Holder" threaten collections. Wondering if they "win" a verdict against them, they can still file bankruptcy next? It is for Social Security and has no property or financial loss, so I'm not sure what they can even (state law prevents retirement income or assets against contact). Thanks for any advice or ideas!
Unfortunately, you're wrong Feanor. Medical bills can discharge in a bankruptcy be. Yes, they can still file for bankruptcy. If it files for bankruptcy which will stop all collections, judgments, suits, and all that someone is trying to file against them. It is not loose anything. So do not worry:)
