Bankruptcy and Capacity on Contracts?

Suppose I am an adult and make business contracts (telephone / homes / auto / etc.) And I go bankrupt. What would happen to these contracts I do? Under what law it is in the fall? I am in South Florida. Thank you (this is for a school project, I tried to find information, but nothing comes out)
