What should I pay first?
My husband and I are going through some financial distress, he seeks employment (although he does not bring some money into basic VA Benefits) and I'm a baby w / unpaid maternity leave and will not work again until August, as I am a teacher. We are also on 10 Mon Agreement to pay less in July and August and very minimal savings to contribute to the summer. Here are the bills: Rent Water Car Washing Payment Credit Personal Loans (x2 w / huge balances 38k) Cable / Internet (which we must hold on to cable and Internet need Internet for online study) Electric Car Insurance Student Loan mobile Any tips when I do not can pay you, what should I do? We're also considering bankruptcy … bad times, but we will survive!
Has anyone of you saw in Fast Food or pizza delivery? These are not long-term plans, but no income is better than no income while you are working on is always something better. Without even reading your List are your priorities as follows: 1 FOOD. If you starve, nothing else matters. 2nd Utilities. 3rd BASIC transport. This may mean the sale of the car and buying a cheap and ugly, but mechanically sound car. 4th Housing. These or your only necessities. You do NOT "need" a cell phone, Internet access or cable. You can on-line to get to the course work in the library. Credit cards are always last on the list. they will probably annoy you for at least 2 years before suing them.
