Will my credit card / student loans from my co-signer filing for bankruptcy be affected?

I have a private student loan do not allow me to remove my cosigner no matter how many consecutive / on time monthly payments I've made. I am concerned that, If my cosigner has filed bankruptcy, that my loan will end up in default. I have contacted my student loan companies and have received conflicting answers of them … please help!
