credit repair rules

What should a person in my situation do with their credit?
Back when i turned 18 i made some bad choices with my credit and pretty much flushed my score down the toilet. Everything negative on my record is nearing 7 years old. I have looked around and verified that every negative item on my report falls under the 7 year removal rule.
My question is sort of double barreled.
1. When these things reach 7 years will they just dissapear or will it require some input from me?
2. If in fact these things will be removed after reaching the 7-7.5 year mark would it be wiser for me to just wait for them to disappear before repairing my credit?
I have absolutely nothing on my report either good or bad since this roughly 1 year period which was 7 years ago.
What you should do is write a letter to each one of the credit bureaus letting them know that it’s been 7 years. You may just want to flat out dispute them.
