repair, the consolidation mean the same as cleaning / credit card?

I really do not want to spend more than 5 years service my credit card so I would like to know which is the easiest way to get back on track, I have terrible credit, if I were younger for so many credit cards and Cash advance loans that I was employed in a position to pay at the time, was now, I'm in Texas, so this law, which are just passed Busch for those who have declared bankruptcy, or what?

Consolidation is combining all your bills / collections together. Then make the monthly payments on them. From what I understand it is not a good idea to do this. I had pretty bad credit and I was and what I have received a copy of my credit report and paid off the collections of how the money was available. In this way I had control of my debt and was able to keep better track. Hope I helped:)
