consumer reports bankruptcy

consumer reports bankruptcy
I have a question about the Fair Credit Reporting.?

Is it fair or legal for a company that state for a consumer credit report that an account the 30 days was long overdue, is suddenly in "collections" just because you may have filed bankruptcy and included the account in that?

Uh yeah. If the payment period is 30 days past due and then had plenty of time to pay it. A company has every right to take it to the collections, to ensure that you pay for what you owe. The fact that you had a bankruptcy does not help, it looks horrible on your credit card. The lesson: do not borrow money you cannot to pay back.
