How can I confirm that my son's father has claimed bankruptcy?

My son's father has said he has claimed bankruptcy! He said he told his trusted lawyer, that he pays child support (guess who is six months behind) How do I find out who his lawyer? I asked him for the info and he has refused to me this information. I live in Alberta, Canada

I think it is a public record. The court house can have it. Or you can ask for his credit report draw
