How do you get a consolidation in Canada, if your credit is bad and you do not own a house?

I'm in Ontario, and our bills rather high (newly married) and my $ 8,000 student loan is in the collection along with a bunch of other stuff … if only we could consolidate all of us would able to make one payment for all and get it paid down. We have no co-signer and do not want to claim bankruptcy … how can we do this, our Credit bad, so I can not see how we could apply for a loan without a house? Any ideas? I would like to pay my creditors, need only the payments together somehow manageable … We will never be able to credit back to our course we are ….
