A friend of mine lives in Nevada, but is called in Pennsylvania?

Hello, my friend has his permanent address as Las Vegas, where his driver License and vehicle is registered. He owes a bank in Nevada X amount of dollars, and they called him in court in Pittsburgh. He grew up in Pittsburgh and was back in forth between Pgh LV and moves in recent years, but all his insurance stuff, toy car goes to a family etc addy in Las Vegas (and has for 4 years), he has to pay no state taxes. Why should the bank in Vegas swear him in PA, if its Addy "technically" is still in Las Vegas? Any bankruptcy attorneys Attorney 's out there to answer?
