bankruptcy free credit report

bankruptcy free credit report
the bankruptcy or continue to pay debt off of?

This question is for my friend. I am very stable and financially responsible. Bankruptcy is very unlikely that Mark my credit report, so I do not really know, consequences for those it went through. My friend was wearing a $ 45K debt. He is not a permanent resident in the United States. but he rack up the debt, since the last five years. He is a spoiled brat from some rich family back in Asia. His parents have been paid for his bills. Just now he finished his school here and want to go home. He wonder if he paid off his debt, or simply file Bankruptcy because he will not return U.S. for some years. I'm talking to an alien situation for consumers. It's no use in U.S. $ 0 income and plan to return home. if anyone is in this situation, please feel free to give some remarks.

He probably could do it if he planned to return for five years or more, it does makes no sense to people moralize about right and wrong of it, bad things happen to us all and we deal with it as we can. Perhaps for his own peace of mind, he should do it and then try to sort out his excessive spending, or its an eternal cycle.
