How long does a typical bankruptcy where the residence credit report? 7 or 10 years is what I heard.

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the bankruptcy of 10 years, notifiable. However, it was noted that a Chpt. 13 is usually removed after 7 years. A Chpt. 7 is reported for 10 years.
