My boss knew he was out of business that day, but still sells gym memberships ,…?
… Is that not illegal, I worked NJ for a gym in. My boss declared bankruptcy during normal business hours, do not tell his staff to 9:00 clock and sold memberships to to know even until the last minute, he was the door that night. He owes to pay all employees for two weeks and the sales and personal training team commission and bonuses. If no this illegal?
You might also be asked to testify, as if each of them will be the boss in court to recover money paid if the "bought" the membership that night. I have the impression that he believes that the amount was too piddly to think for a person who would be worth a lawsuit. Personally, I know not to use such opportunities.
