2009 bankruptcy laws

2009 bankruptcy laws
I am financially ruined ….. Is there anyone that can help ?????

I have recently lost a court case, and the other lawyer after me qualifies for the legal costs. It could be more than $ 70,000 in total. I was told by the attorney, if that happens, I could file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy ….. But six years ago, I had a file Chapter 7 because of an illness. Now I understand that the new bankruptcy law has been there for 8 years. So I can not single-file by the year 2009th What happens if they get a verdict against me? If they are on my property, home and garnish my wages? Please help me, like getting out of this mess. Thank you.

You need an attorney with the specifics of your case to see, but also under the old law there was a 7 year waiting period from the date of the BK case was dismissed, what is So over the life of this different for 2 years vs 1 year? You still have the same issues. If you lost the lawsuit, presumably you have already ruled against you. This additional Sentence for the legal costs is just another thing that you do not pay. Depending on the type of appeal, you may or may not be able to be to reject it in BK, anyway. See a lawyer.
